Iraq war.

Iraq war is an unnecessary war,war of choice,stupid war.I did not support when it started.This is from a registered REPUBLICAN who voted Republican from top to bottom to all on the ballot starting from President Bush 41 to President Bush 43 including Bob Dole in between. we spent billions of dollors and gave away the lives of young men from all over America.It did not make us safe . We would not have lost our majorities in the Congress if not for this stupid war. Now we are in a mess. What is it that we have to do to get out of this mess? For one thing, we can not just walk away from Iraq .We have to succeed in Iraq. Otherwise the consequences would be unthinkable.Iraq is not Vietnam. we can not wind up and bring our troops home and hand over Iraq to militants.It would be worse than Afganistan under Taliban and the whole of Middle East would be a playing field for militants.

Republican Loss

One person that is mainly responsible for Republican debacle is Mr.Bush.If he replaced Rumsfield before the elections, Republicans would have maintained majority atleast in the senate.But he did not. The war itself is a stupid,unnecessary war.It is not easy to regain control. I was upset and start listening to Rush and Hannity.

How could Republicans loose both House and Senate? How could they? Depressing.Very depressing.Most of them lost in close contests.Sen .Allen may concede tomorrow and Sen.Burns of Montana may not recoup few votes he lost by .Main reason for this disaster is President Bush. He could have fired Defense Secretary Rumsfield. This war is just a stupid war ,unnessary war.

BAD ELECTION RESULTS,2006

Went to the polls and voted Republican top to bottom. Watched results from 6pm and Republicans lost house, and may loose the senate too.It is all because of Iraqi war.It is unnecessary war and it affected the Republican party and Its domestic agenda.One person that is responsible for this Republican debacle is President Bush.May be this defeat reenergize Republicans and keep the White house in 2008.Probably Republicans win white house.American voters are not that great either. Most of the people were for Iraqi war in the begining,but when it gets tough,they are against the war.IT is just foolish and totally stupid.

Election and Republican Party

I could not watch news programmes on TV for the last few days as they are filled with Republican beating and Democratic victory on Tuesday ,Nov 7,2006 election. Most of the news media is left of the center and they are gleeful that Republican party may loose the house and probably Senate. I hope they won't both and I would be delighted for the leftist news media eat their crow.Probably it may not happen.Imagine Polosi speaker? Democratic majority in the house may do lots of mischief ,but nothing would happen as President Bush would veto all the stupid things Congress may send to him.This situation is Republican making. I am a registed Republican and will vote Republican from top to bottom. The Iraqi war is the main thing .It is a stupid war,unnecessary war.We should have gone to Afganistan and took care of Bin laden and his Gang. But going to Iraq is just stupid. We spent billions and kid from all over America are getting killed and Shiates are not so great ful. Lots of Iraqis are killed. What purpose this war serve? We are in a mess. Public opinion.Hmmmm Public opinion.To put it nicely, American public is not so great.

The Hungarian Revolution:10-23-1956

Today is the 50th anniversary of The Hungarian Revolt against Soviet domination.It failed.Wall street Jouranal noted ,probably accurately, that Hungarian revolution was impotent and poignant.It failed but it demonstrated the Hungarian desire to be free.Peter Nadas, a novelist,in Wall street journal and Kati Marton in the New York Times wrote wonderful personal stories.The description of that day by Mr.Nadas, when he was a student , at the Parliament house in Budapest is gripping, and Ms.Martin's description is moving. Some people describe this as the begining of the end of the Soviet domination. But I do not believe it .One of these days ,I will go to Budapest and wander those streets. Today I saw Ms.Kiran Desai on Charlie Rose show.She is so real. Looks like a great wonderful person with no airs.I will buy and read her novel " The inheritance of Loss". Other Interetsing books are Katie Morton's" The great Escape: Nine jews who fled Hitler and changed the world" and "Thirteen days that shook the Kremlin" by Tibor Meray.

Mid-term Elections

"With guarded cheer,democrats dare to believe this is their time"."Taking seriously his vow to run a quality office on the model of Mr.Spitzer,we recommoned Andrew Cuomo's election." With due respect to John Fasso, we support Mr.Spitzer for governor. So goes NewYork Times coverage of the elections.I am sick of the election coverage of the New York Times.It is so liberal and partisan.But that is the general tone of the liberal media.I am sick of the predictions that democrats will win House definitely ,senate may be. Even though, Republicans are not great in the last few years with some scandals,corruption, Republican Congress is much better than Democratic for family values,taxes,immigration and to defeat Terrorism.
