WAR on INDIA

Yesterday at 2pm, I read a news item on CNBC website about some attack on Bombay.I thought that it was another left behind bag bomb attack.No,it is not when I watched on CNN and Indian TV channels on the web. Indeed it is not. Could not be more angry and upset with the Indian Government and security agencies. How could this happen? How could this be repeated so many times and so long? How could this be? How could? Unimaginable! totally.Terrorists come in boats , take over 5 star hotels, Railway station and kill innocent people. Maharastra Government should resign.Then what? Sonia Government would do anything? Cannot.we have seen it,how totally incompetent,inept at dealing with this total war waged by terrorists on innocent Indians.India Today was right when it called Indian government Impotent. May be worse.Thank God,Bush is our president and kept America Safe after 09/11. All those leftist liberals who hated Bush all this time hopefully not in those five star hotels in Mumbai or those leftist liberal phony secularists in India.

Nov 4,2008 American Election

The best thing about Nov 4 election would be that it would be over on that day.No more polls to read,no more analysis of polls,no more ads,no more talk of who is up ,who is down and who will win and by how much.I am sick of this for so long.As a Republican, I was for Romney,but McCain won the primary.Like most Republicans,I would vote for him.Probably ,on Nov 5,Obama would be celebrating the election victory.The world may not come to an end,but that would be a very disappointing day, more so because Republican party would loose more seats in the Senate and the House.It would be devastating if the Democratic Party gets 60 seats in the senate- fill buster proof.How could be people so dumb to think that the present economic situation is all Republican fault. Even moderate Republicans like Norm Coleman and Elizabeth Dole are in a tough fight.We give too much credit to the intelligence of American Voters.How dumb some are could be seen on Jay Leno interviews on the street. Dumb,dumb and dumb.Thousands of people are going to Obama rallies.Don't they have any thing better to do?Some times people behave like a mob.The guy is not qualified to be a President of America.I guess democracy is the worst form of Government ,but there is none better as Churchill said.So for four more years ,we have to live under democratic rule.
Colin Powell endorsed Obama recently on Obama Network,NBC. I never understood what is so great about him.His patrons were Republicans. They were the ones who gave him all those high power jobs.He thinks too much of himself. Without them, he would not have gotten those jobs.
McCain used to love the press.They treated him high before because he used to put his finger in the Republicans' eye a lot.He used to think that they loved him.But they loved him because of their hatred for Republicans.Now they are treating him like any other Republican,because they found their Messiah in Obama. Hope he learned his lesson and if he does not win,he would behave like a loyal Republican in the Senate.
Another silly fellow is this Huckbee guy from Arkansas. He got a talk show on Fox , instead of helping McCain with his supporters like Romney,he is making money .He was one of the Presidential contenders.How selfish guy he is?No party loyalty,nothing.Hope he would never run for any political office as a Republican.

SLICK SAAKASHVILI

Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili is too slick for his own good. He thought that he could just swallow South Ossetia and get over with it while the world is watching Olympics.It turned out to be a pipe dream.Hundreds of innocent civilians died, large parts of Tskhinvali,the capital of South Ossetia was destroyed,thousands of people became homeless only because of Mr.Saakashvili's aggression.He received what he deserved,and he is doing disservice to the people of Georgia.May be it would be good for him and for his country if he advance his future plans and find a job as a professor of law at Columbia University and leave the people of Georgia for good.

Tavleen Singh,Indian express columnist

Mrs.Tavleen singh wrote a column in The Indian express exhorting the real leadership of Mr.Manmohan singh and criticizing Mr.Advani for lack of leadership. I am a great admirer of Mrs.Tavleen Singh and have been reading her columns for more than 15 years. She writes columns with lots of common sense, after hard work and great reporting. This column is totally disappointing and She could have done better,I mean much better.
In her zeal to promote Mr.Manmohan Singh, she sold herself short. She is worried that these MPs who showed the bundles of money that they say was received as bribe disgraced the "temple of democracy"-that is Lok Sabha.It is not these MPs that digraced the democracy,but it is the Congress party and its new ally that disgraced India. Let us not close our eyes and think that all the world is blind. She writes that one of the MPs took bribe before.What that has to do with what happened now.May be he did and that is why these leaders came with bundle of money to bribe him as he is easy to bribe.May be he is a changed man and wanted to expose these bribers! what about the other 2MPs? She says that that money did not look like one crore? Is it Ok if that bribe was few lakhs ,not one crore? She says that "the Video evidence was not conclusive.Let CNN-IBN show it ,and let people decide it. She was moved to tears when Mr.Singh said that he did not have drinking water supply,no electricity,hospital or roads. After Mr.Rahul Gandhi's great Grand father,grand mother and father's rule,that is about 40 yrs of congress rule, there are lots of poor Sashikalas in India that did not have drinking water,electricity,hospital and roads. Everybody,in India and all over the world, knows who is real leader, and who is runnimg the country from behind the curtain.Let us not try to fool the world. Indian express could have done a favour by not publishing that column.

PRIYA HAJI

I received the Motivation Show programme that would be held in Chicago in Sep . I was reading about different programmes and speakers. There I found an Indian name-PRIYA HAJI. I rarely see Indian names in this type of events.I was curious and googled her name .What an Impressive person she is . She is the daughter of Indian Immigrants.She helped her father start a free health clinic when she was a teenager in Texas.Then she founded "Free at last" ,a non profit organization that helps addicts and ex-convicts.Then she went to business school in California,travelled in developing countries, and started with another Indian " World of Good" to create a market for art objects these women create. She is 38 . I am sure that she would do great and wonderful things for humanity.

Europen Angels and Serbian devils

Slovania did not start breaking up of Yugoslavakia,Croats did not collaborate with Germans and kill thousands and thousands of Serbs,Croats did not try to push Serbians out of theirpart of the country, they did not kill any Serbians Bosniadid not declare itself independent,Bosnia can declare the way it likes, But Bosnian serbs should not be an independent country or unite with Serbia, Foreign mercenaries did not join the fight in Bosnia, Bosnian Muslims did not commit any atrocities,Serbians some how landed in angelic Europe where there was no world war 1, No world war 2,France,Portugal,spain,Belgium and UK did not occupy African and Asian,latin American countries and did not ill treat the locals.Germany did not do any harm to anybody,never and ever.Somehow serbians fell from nowhere into this Holy land,Europe.

U.S .GOVT Brain stroming ON Afghanistan

The U.S government summoned top Afghanistan experts to brainstorm on how to win in Afghanistan. Barnett Rubin ,New York University scholar ,pointed out that the problem is in neighbouring Pakistan where Taliban and Al Queda commanders lurk.Professor Larry Goodson of Army War College said that the British never won.the Russians never won. Mr Rubin is right and Mr.Goodson's defeatist mentality is not much of a help.British and Russians did not win.So what? America could win and hope it will.Otherwise it would be disatrous for American and Western security, India and mainly and most importantly to people of Afghanistan. US government and its allies should repeat what they told to Pakistan after 9/11 that either Pakistan is with us or with Taliban. No playing games and fooling around.It is that simple.

Indian Embassy Attack in Kabul

Kartik Rao-shirtless,towel on one shoulder,sad looking,weeping more in his heart than shows- Amulya ,his sister weeping, holding his mom Malathi on the cover page of India Abroad broke my heart. Kartik performed last rites for his father ,Venkata Rao Vadapalli, in
New Delhi with dignity.Venkat Rao was assassinatedduring suicide attack on Indian Embassy in Kabul by Taliban and other Muslim extremists with the help of ISI,Pakistani Intelligence Agency. If somebody thinksthat Pakistan is not involved in this attack,they are living in a fools paradise.India lost an able diplomat,more than that, Kartik and Amulya lost their loving father and Malathi ,her husband. Their lives turned upside down. Kartik and Amulya must have been looking forward so much for a beautiful life with help,guidance of their father. He is not there anymore to be a part of their lives as they grow up. Hope that they would grow up as a wonderful and successful human beings with the help and guidance of their mother and other well wishers.
What would India do to track down those responsible for this assassination Probably nothing. What did it do after Chattisinghpora,J&K, J&K Assemblyattack, Indian Parliament attack,American Culture Centre in Kolkata,Kaluchak-J&k, Twin blasts- Mumbai,Akshardhan temple attack,makeshift Ram temple-Ayodhya,Jaunpurtrain explosion,Blasts in New Delhi, Attack on the Indian Institute of sciences,Bangalore serialblasts in varanasi,Mumbai train blasts.Indian officials go through motions, catch some low level criminals and move on. Even if they getone or two main criminals,then comes vote bank politics in to effect from politicians.There is no value for the loss of Indian lives. Chalte hai and chalte hai ( Life goes on ) attitude takes over. After 9/11 in America, how many attacks happened in America. NONE. WHY? America changed,changed from Cabinet departments to local police stations. Every American feels the changes in their daily lives from travel,banking and immigration. When it comes to American lives, there is unanimity among all politicians on macrolevel. But not in India. Politicians do nor care. They care about their kith and kin,their positions, power. Why are these attacks repeating again and again?Pakistan caught lots of criminals and deported to America. How come India could not get even one main criminal responsible for Mumbai blasts?

Kosovo

Kosovo was part of Serbia,is part of Serbia and should be part of Serbia.An ethnic minority in a country by becoming majority in a geographical area has no right to declare itself an Independent country.It is against International law and dangerous for peace and stability in the world.An ethnic minority should have all the rights ,privileges and protections to lead a decent,normal life.Some old European countries like Britain,France and Germany are behaving arrogantly.European Union has no right to send police force to Kosovo without permission from UN.Would British allow an ethnic minority like Pakistanis in Birmingham declare itself as a separate country once they become majority there? Would Germany allow Turks in a corner of Germany when they become majority declare themselves separate country?would France allow Africans in Paris suburbs declare themselves as an Independent country? It is not a far fetched idea.Why should it be? These people are no different from Albanians. Whatever problems Albanians had with previous Serbian leaders does not exist now. Serbia is now a democratic country like these old European countries. If this unlawful act allowed to stand, why not Tamils declare themselves a separate country in the north of Sri Lanka,Pathans in Pakistan,Rebel provinces in countries in the old Soviet Union ,Basques in Spain and so on.
As a Republican who voted for President Bush twice, I find some of this administration's foreign policy decisions dumb and stupid.Secretary Rice's statement that Serbia and Kosovo should move on is silly. I wonder what Ms.Rice would say if Mexicans when they become majority in some parts of California,Texas and Arizona declare themselves as independent and want to join Mexico? She would appreciate it if Mexico says to her move on !!

Presidential Primaries-2008

Presidential primaries started and there were so many candidates in the Republican primary.I was not sure whom to support.Gov.Romney or Mayor Giuliani.I sent donations to both.I was not that comfortable with Mayor Giuliani.I never liked Sen.McCain .There was no question of supporting him in the primaries.When the party needed him he was not there.Immigration,taxes and oil exploration issues he supported Democrats.Then there was Se.Thompson.He was too easy going and looked too lazy.So I supported Go.Romney.I sent donations and wholeheartedly supported him I was expecting that he would do well.Sen.Thompson was a total failure.Conservatives waited ,waited for a white Horse and it never came.Sean Hannity and laura Ingram came on the band wagon ,but it was too late.Gov.Romney suspended his campaign and announced during his speech at conservative convention at Washington DC.I saw conservatives crying.I was unhappy but Gov.Romney made a right decision at the right time.Huckabee from Arkansa is still in the race and won Kansas tonight.He is not going to win and can not undersstand why he is still in the race.Probably Ego.It does not do any good to the Party.
